Primeros Libros

The Centro de Recursos Académicas, Informátics, Virtuales (CREATIVA) is an educational portal dedicated to creating, organizing, and providing resources and information services on different technology and audiovisual platforms with the objective of supporting the development of the substantive functions of the Universidad Autónoma San Luis Potosí and of strengthening its links with society.

Development of this project began in February, 2005, with the support and approval of the Provost and it was formally launched on April 6, 2006, during an institutional event presided over by Provost Lic. Mario García Valdez. It is built on an analysis of the internal and external context, considering the following points:

• The nature of the institutional context.
• Global trends in terms of information.
• The new models for university libraries, such as the CRAI (Centro de Recursos para el Aprendizaje y la Investigación).
• The main developments in our country in the area of virtual libraries.

As a result, we have a project with an institutional focus, of an integral nature and with global access, with objectives for different stages.
