Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí

The Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí (UASLP) is a public institution of higher education. Its duty is to train - under a model of social responsibility - professionals, scientists, humanists, and academics with an informed and global vision of the world that allows them to become entrepreneurial, ethical, and competent in a knowledgeable society.

Since 2010, the University has participated in the Primero Libros project as a technical partner and with the contribution of two digitized books by Juan Pablos (1554). The books are part of the historical collection of the Rafael Montejano y Aguiñaga Historical Documentation Center of the UASLP.

In addition, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the UASLP is working on the project "Digital Repository of Mexican Biblio-Iconography of the 16th and 17th centuries." The project classifies and describes "engravings” created in the 16th-century by Mexican printers. For this project, one of the main sources has been the digital collections in the Primero Libros project.
