Francisco Xavier Clavigero Library

Ibero-American University (Mexico City)

The origin of the Library's collections began with the founding of the Ibero-American University (University Cultural Center) in 1943. At first, each school had its corresponding library. In the sixties, these independent collections were centralized to manage all the information services from a single university library, which was named after the renowned Jesuit historian Francisco Xavier Clavigero in 1977. The Historical Collections of the Francisco Xavier Clavigero Library at the Ibero-American University was created in 1982 to preserve rare books and archival collections.
